Updates
What's new
We work on NORD every week. This is what changed, since day one. We write it in plain language and leave out internal and security details.
Week of 5 October 2026
Faster finance panel performance
- The finance panel is now much faster: the first response used to take about 5.6 seconds, now it's back to around 3.5 seconds.
- When several people work at the same time, response times stay stable instead of creeping up.
- The connection to the invoicing system is now reused, so each follow-up question costs less waiting time.
- For the app we verified the login protection: pages like the dashboard now send you to the login page when you're not signed in.
Week of 28 September 2026
Faster, clearer and more reliable work
- You'll notice NORD responds much faster: the first word of an answer used to take about 7 seconds, now around 3. NORD is also quicker to be available when you and someone else are working at the same time.
- The app and the website now look consistent: calmer, with fewer blue accents and more emphasis on what matters. Figures like your balance are now shown in a clear typeface.
- On Settings you'll find a new toggle to automatically clean up unused skills. It's off by default, you can turn it on yourself, and skills are never deleted, only archived.
- In the chat you can now naturally ask NORD something during a conversation, for example for a download or a confirmation.
- When searching for integrations like Zapier, you no longer see duplicate or confusing results.
Week of 14 September 2026
Invoice checking and panels ready to use
- You can now send invoices to NORD via Zapier. The system automatically checks them against your accounting chart and flags unusual expenses for review.
- Your accountant can approve or reject flagged invoices from a new screen. The system records who reviewed what, and billing only happens after your decision is saved.
- The invoice tab now appears only for users who need it. You see only the tabs that are active for your account.
- Cost calculation is now more accurate. NORD correctly charges for cached messages, which cost less than fresh processing.
- OpenRouter models with live pricing are now available. NORD automatically selects the best models based on what you need and what it costs.
Week of 7 September 2026
NORD Desktop and WhatsApp alerts
- You can now use NORD Desktop — a Windows app that lets your agent work with local files. The app works securely behind your router with no open ports, and you control exactly which folders and actions are allowed.
- You now receive alerts on WhatsApp when there are issues with NORD — important notifications reach you directly in a WhatsApp group without sensitive data exposed.
- The desktop app asks for permission before your agent makes changes, and you can set this per action or per type of change. Sensitive files like passwords stay protected at all times.
- When you install NORD Desktop, it works immediately after sign-in — no complicated setup needed. You can change the server later in settings if you want .
Week of 31 August 2026
NORD can now create real forms and downloads
- Your assistant can now display buttons, forms, and question lists directly in the conversation — just like ChatGPT. No more copying answers from text.
- Downloads now work too: the assistant can write files directly to your workspace and offer them as download buttons. Think CSV exports or reports you can grab immediately.
- Forms can have up to 12 fields and ask questions with multiple choice buttons or free text input. Your answers are neatly saved in the conversation.
Week of 17 August 2026
AI Colleague beta, lead funnel and improved chat
- You can now use AI Colleague : create colleagues with their own name, role and instructions, and have personal conversations with them. Each colleague remembers their chats separately.
- Colleagues can now work autonomously on tasks if you enable it: they complete your assignments without asking for your approval at every step, but critical actions still require your sign-off.
- Chat works much better now: your agent no longer forgets what you said after each message, and you can configure settings per colleague (which tools they use, how independently they can work).
- You can now connect Gmail and Outlook as mail providers, and your agent can immediately read and send your emails (autonomous sending still requires your approval).
- There's a new sign-up page (/start) where potential customers fill in their request step by step: you see immediately who arrives, when they drop off, and you can follow them if they come back.
- Your admin dashboard now shows detailed information per prospect: their entire journey through the steps, where they get stuck, and you can export their data as Excel.
Week of 10 August 2026
Live payments, models auto-refresh, spend visibility
- Your Stripe payments now work smoothly – the system automatically adapts to your payment settings, so all enabled payment methods are available.
- NORD now fetches the latest AI models daily and makes them available instantly, so you always have access to the newest Claude versions.
- You get real-time insight into your AI spending – see exactly how much you're using in the admin panel.
- Push notifications on your devices now work live, keeping you updated on what matters.
- Deep-work conversations now route correctly to Claude Sonnet 5, and you see clearly which model you're using and what it costs.
Week of 3 August 2026
Password login and updated pricing published
- You can now sign in with your email and password on the website. Magic links remain available as an additional option.
- Your pricing is now set: a fixed 15% markup on all services, including curator work handled on your behalf.
- We've created three completely new video samples showing different visual approaches to how NORD can present your work.
Week of 27 July 2026
Better reliability and cleaner codebase
- Your login page now works better: the submit button is no longer unnecessarily disabled when you open the form.
- We cleaned up old code that was no longer being used, making your site faster and leaner.
- The cookie notice now appears only after you scroll down, so it no longer covers your hero image.
- Tests now run more reliably, especially on mobile browsers where they used to hang occasionally.
Week of 20 July 2026
Notifications, PDF in chat, and monthly scheduling
- Your scheduled tasks can now reach you via web push, Slack, or your own webhook systems — not just email. You can test each delivery method to make sure it works.
- You can now upload PDF files directly in the chat window. NORD automatically reads the text and uses it in the conversation.
- Scheduled tasks now support monthly recurrence. You can choose which day of the month a task repeats, with automatic adjustment for shorter months.
- NORD's public website has a fresh look with a modern dark theme and clearer explanations of what NORD does.
Week of 13 July 2026
New video, smarter routing, and improved reliability
- You can now see a new NORD Agent promo video on our website that shows what NORD can truly do.
- NORD now picks the right AI model for your question automatically. Simple questions run fast and cheap, complex questions get extra computing power. You always see which model was chosen and why.
- You can now upload photos and images directly in the chat so NORD can analyze them.
- We found and fixed four bugs that prevented NORD from stopping, caused payment issues, and made schedules malfunction.
- You can now look up your company details directly using business registries, and there are more ways to connect NORD to external systems.
Week of 6 July 2026
NORD is now honest about what it does
- You see on our website exactly what NORD really is: an AI colleague that works with your business knowledge, through tools and integrations, and always shows you autonomous tasks for approval before anything goes outward. No false promises about features we don't have.
- NORD runs more reliably now: if your connection drops during a workflow, NORD picks up exactly where it left off without skipping anything. Recurring tasks that fail now tell you automatically.
- Your payments are processed more safely: amounts are rounded correctly, and if something goes wrong it gets logged and we can retry without charging you twice.
- We're honest in our documentation: you now know exactly how NORD recovers if everything breaks, and what backup we have (heads up: we're upgrading soon).
Week of 29 June 2026
Faster answers and refreshed design
- You'll see answers appear much faster: we've optimized how NORD streams text to you for a smoother experience.
- NORD's look has been completely refreshed with a warm color palette and modern design. You can also choose between dark or grayscale themes.
- Errors in conversations are now communicated more clearly, so you understand what's happening.
- It's easier to discover features: press +K to open a command menu at the top.
- The onboarding is improved, so you can start right away without detours.
Week of 22 June 2026
Scheduled tasks and autonomous goals now live
- You can now set up scheduled tasks that NORD runs automatically at fixed times (hourly, daily, weekly, or on a custom schedule) without you needing to be present. Results are delivered to you via email or chat.
- With the new autonomous goal mode, you can give NORD a goal and let it work it out on its own. NORD stops automatically for risky actions and asks you for approval before anything irreversible happens.
- NORD now uses Claude models by default instead of other providers. This is faster and more reliable for most tasks.
- When you approve an action, that approval only applies to that exact action — NORD now checks more strictly that your permission isn't used for something else.
Week of 15 June 2026
NORD gains themes and transparency
- You can now choose from three themes on the landing page: Warm (the current look), Hermes (dark and clean), and Studio (high contrast). Your choice is saved.
- The copy on the site has been refreshed to more clearly explain what NORD does: memory, internet access, tool integration, automation, documents, and administration.
- NORD now gives you an honest answer when you ask what powers it: the Hermes Agent.
Week of 8 June 2026
Faster responses and better visibility into what's happening
- NORD now delivers your first answer much faster. We've accelerated the start of new conversations, especially through intelligent use of computing power in the background. You'll notice this directly: where it used to take 20+ seconds, it now goes significantly quicker.
- While NORD thinks, you now clearly see "NORD denkt na…" instead of just a dot. If your MCP server is temporarily unreachable, you get a friendly message instead of a missing tool.
- You can now type while NORD is answering – your next message is ready while you're still reading. Errors now display clear Dutch messages with a "Retry" button.
- If NORD needs to switch to another model (because the primary one isn't available), you now see that clearly noted. So you always know which model actually answered your question.
Week of 1 June 2026
NORD now uses GPT-5 and improved billing
- You now use GPT-5 as the default language model. This delivers better results for your tasks.
- Payment processing is now more reliable: your balance is correctly deducted and conversations no longer interrupt.
- NORD now speaks your language: it remembers which language you use and responds in it. You also get a more personalized experience with the NORD persona.
- The connection to additional tools (via MCP protocol) is now fixed: you can fully use all the advanced capabilities you have set up.
Week of 25 May 2026
Agents now learn your business knowledge; integrations expanded
- Your agent now remembers information from documents you upload. Add a document with your business rules or procedures, and the agent automatically retrieves the right information when you ask.
- Each user gets their own isolated agent with separate settings and memory. This ensures your chat history is now properly preserved and not mixed with other users.
- The MCP marketplace in your agent has been refreshed: faster, better overview, and you can now directly submit requests to approve new integrations.
- You can now set up custom subscription plans based on actual usage, without fixed daily limits.
